Strassenr\u00f6hre am Gotthard unterschrieben. Die rund 50 Organisationen, welche im Verein Nein zur 2. Gotthardr\u00f6hre zusammengeschlossen sind, liessen davon 75&#8217;731 beglaubigen. Heute reichte der Verein die Unterschriften bei der Bundeskanzlei in Bern ein. F\u00fcr starke Begleitmusik sorgten Murmeltiere, Steinb\u00f6cke und G\u00e4msen sowie viele Direktbetroffene aus dem Tessin und aus Uri. Sie alle wollen ihren Lebensraum gegen die Lastwagenflut verteidigen.<\/p>\n<p>Mehr als 10 Prozent der beglaubigten Unterschriften stammen aus dem Tessin. Ein deutliches Signal: Das Tessin will keine 2. R\u00f6hre! \u00abDie Tessiner Regierung und die b\u00fcrgerliche Tessiner Vertretung im Bundeshaus geben die Stimmung im Volk in keiner Weise wieder\u00bb, sagt Jon Pult, Co-Pr\u00e4sident des Vereins Nein zur 2. Gotthardr\u00f6hre und Pr\u00e4sident der Alpen-Initiative. Insbesondere im S\u00fcdtessin leiden die Menschen seit Jahren unter miserabler Luftqualit\u00e4t und chaotischen Zust\u00e4nden auf den Strassen. Laut Jon Pult zeigt das ausgezeichnete Sammelergebnis ausserdem, dass der Gedanke des Alpenschutzes in der Schweiz bestens verankert ist.<\/p>\n<p>\u00abDie Verdoppelung der R\u00f6hren am Gotthard wird \u00fcber kurz oder lang zu einer Verdoppelung der Fahrspuren und einer Verdoppelung der Lastwagen f\u00fchren.\u00bb Davon ist Caroline Beglinger, Co-Pr\u00e4sidentin des Vereins Nein zur 2. Gotthardr\u00f6hre und Co-Gesch\u00e4ftsleiterin des Verkehrs-Club der Schweiz, \u00fcberzeugt. Die Verdoppelung w\u00fcrde auch zu mehr L\u00e4rm, Abgasen, Staus und Unf\u00e4llen auf der gesamten Nord-S\u00fcd-Achse f\u00fchren. \u00abDas politische Versprechen, die Beschr\u00e4nkung der Kapazit\u00e4ten in ein Gesetz zu schreiben, ist eine nette Idee, aber keine Versicherung gegen die Lastwagenflut\u00bb, sagt Caroline Beglinger weiter.<\/p>\n<p>Angesichts der Er\u00f6ffnung des Gotthard-Basistunnels im n\u00e4chsten Jahr muten die Pl\u00e4ne f\u00fcr eine 2. R\u00f6hre geradezu absurd an. Dank des l\u00e4ngsten Tunnels der Welt werden auf der Schiene genug Kapazit\u00e4ten zur Verf\u00fcgung stehen, um den G\u00fcterverkehr konsequent von der Strasse auf die Schiene zu verlagern und die Sanierung des bestehenden Strassentunnels ohne 2.
